This past weekend Alter Ego traveled to Paintball Zone – North to play in the Darkhorse Scenario event: THE CURSE OF THE PINK FLAMINGO. We took arms with Kaity “Giggles” Riggs of Team Loyalty playing the part of Elizabeth Swann with Alter Ego’s very own Melissa “Bunny” Robbins as XO to play in the FIRST Young-Gun commanded games EVER to see Houston.

We also had good friend and team sponsor John “Huxy” Huxham from Acid Custom Paintball fly in ALL THE WAY FROM AUSTRALIA just to play with us at this event! It was HOT. It was GRUELING! We worked our ASSES off! But in the end we came out with a win! And the team pulled a MVT, MOFO, and a Sportsmanship award! It was a great time! And we want to thank our sponsors, our friends from Beaumont, “Gentle” Ben and Kiwi for coming out and running with us. You guys made it all happen!

We are getting into what we call the “Season Break”. There isn’t much that happens during the summer months in Texas paintball, but keep an eye out. We will be having some events (both paintball related and NOT) coming up soon!

This will be a scenario to benefit OFISD Project Graduation. There will be a $15.00 entry fee with all proceeds going to Project Grad. The entry will include all day HPA and 2 CO2 fills (all fills $3.00 after first 2). We will also have a concession stand with food and drinks on hand which will also benefit PG so come thirsty and hungry!

BYOP, but we will have some paint on hand for purchase.

After a LONG rest…we got to stretch our legs again in another 24 hour game! This wasn’t just any game. It was Viper Paintball’s return to Houston! After many years away, he has finally brought his game back to our home town and there’s NO WAY we wouldn’t be on hand to bear witness.

This game was based on the Wizard of Oz. The Wicked Wich (Karey Gogglin from DHS) was to protect her valuable relics from that goodie two shoes, shoe whore Dorty (Mia Carry of Team Reboot). It was a great time! We caught up with some good friends and even though Dorthy ended up with the W at the end…it was NOT an easy win for her, and AE came home with something better than awards…but you will have to stay tuned for that one.

We’ll be traveling to Harwood in a few weeks for the DHS event – Drug Warz…

Alter Ego made an appearance at the February event: Tombstone, put on by DHS! It was a great game minus the cold. And even though our side lost the game we came home with a Sportsmanship award, awarded to Brent “Woodrow” Norwood, and a MVT! Great job team and thank you so much to Darkhorse scenarios, for putting on this event!

Please help me in congratulating Junior who is the first Alter Ego Young Gun Scholarship recipient for the 2010 year!!
